Connecting to the TeraEX

Port fees for the Transit LA Core:

  • GE:
    • First port: One-time/NRC $5000. There is no MRC.
    • If peak usage is more than 85% of present GE capacity there is a one-time $500 port fee;
    • Additional ports: MRC $1000. There is no NRC.
  • 10GE:
    • NRC $2500. MRC $5000.
    • If peak usage is more than 85% of present 10GE capacity there is a one-time additional $2500 port fee;
  • 40GE:
    • NRC $10000. MRC $20000.
    • If peak usage is more than 85% of present 40GE capacity there is a one-time additional $10000 port fee;
  • 100GE:
    • NRC $15000. MRC $30000.
    • If peak usage is more than 85% of present 100GE capacity there is a one-time additional $15000 port fee;
  • Upgrades: Generally an upgrade will involve a new LOA since fibers are pre-wired to specific switches/ports capable of specific speeds.
  • Installment option: For port fees that are a one-time $2,000 or higher, we provide an installment payment option for those organizations who prefer a lower initial payment and/or want to additionally support the TeraEX. 12 month minimum commitment with monthly fee at 8% of one-time port fee.
  • Payment can be via check to the above or via PayPal . If PayPal please add 5% as needed to cover the PayPal fees. We can also invoice and provide wire-transfer details.
  • Port fees for extensions are determined by the extension operators. Contact them for details. If need Transit LA to help to extend to your site/Data Center, TeraEX will add 10% markup above the cost(include any cross-connecti needed)

Establish your link to the TeraEX Core or one of the extensions:

  • Send an e-mail to Peering@tcloudnet.com indicating your interest in connecting and specify whether the circuit will be GE or 10GE.
    1. We will confirm pricing with you and issue an invoice and/or LOA as appropriate.
    2. You or your colocation provider may then run a cross-connect to TeraEX panel.
    3. We will send instructions describing test procedures followed by address allocation.
  • Circuit when using one of the extensions:
    1. Due to the way in which each additional extension operates, you will need to contact the operator of the extension you are interested in.
    2. Send an e-mail to Peering@tcloudnet.com indicating which extension you have chosen. We will work with the extension and will send instructions describing test procedures followed by address allocation.

While waiting for your circuit, please review the router configuration advice. Configure your router and  interface accordingly.

After you are connected and have your router configured with the IP addresses, you are encouraged to contact the current participants about peering.
